Letter to our community

To My Camp Family,

My hopes are that you and your families are safe and healthy and are still able to experience moments of joy and laughter.

The last year or so has been full of challenges and constant changes. I am so proud to be part of a camp community that thrives in the face of adversity and meets challenges head-on with a determination to stay positive.

Planning for summer 2021 has been a challenge due to COVID-19 and the high health risk involved of gathering and living together. We have created a plan to host summer camp based upon the advice from public health experts, the Department of Health & Human Services, American Camp Association, and consultation with GSUSA and other camp organizations and partnerships.

With this said, camping at Sky High Ranch will look different this summer. Decreased camper capacities, extended session lengths, social distancing, use of face coverings, increased frequent handwashing, consistent sanitation and disinfection, staggered dining and dining in units, programmatic restrictions, drive up/limited contact check-in and check-out processes will all be part of the routine this summer.

Even though things may look much different, I know camp still is -- and will always be -- a place for fun, laughter, friendship, and magic. The core of who we are has not changed, and I am so excited to share the magic with you at Sky High Ranch again this summer!

Stay safe, stay strong, and remember, there is no better place than Sky High to, “Come back to the mountains, and turn the world around!”

Happy Camping,

Ruddy,

Camp Director
