Letter to our community

To Our Sky High Ranch Family,

I hope you’ve had a great year so far and we’re so excited to have you back at camp this summer!

Last summer, we were able to run an amazing program despite things looking a bit different. Even though we had some interesting new challenges, we were still able to explore, create, grow, and most of all, have FUN! We wouldn’t have been able to do what we did last summer without the support of our fantastic SHR families. You are amazing and we are so thankful for you.

We are in the midst of planning our 2022 summer season and our team is so enthusiastic about our exciting new adventures. Our entire GSCO Outdoor Programs Team is growing and expanding our camping opportunities throughout the state so even more girls can experience the joy of camp.

Part of our planning for this year will include continued monitoring of COVID-19 considerations and mandates from public health experts, the Department of Health & Human Services, American Camp Association, Association of Camp Nurses, as well as consultation with GSUSA and other camp organizations and partnerships.

We are unsure what mandates will be in place this summer for licensed programs such as ours, however camper safety will always be our highest priority. We will provide routine sanitation and disinfection, frequent hand washing, daily health screenings of all campers, staff and volunteers as well as continuing our drive-through check-in and check-out processes to mitigate the spread of infectious diseases at camp.

It might still be a tad early, but the staff here can’t wait for the 2022 season! And while things likely won’t be back to “normal,” I know that our team is creative and adaptive and is always coming up with amazing new ideas to make camp what it is – a place of friendship, compassion, adventure, bravery, and of course, FUN!

I’m so excited to see you all again this summer.

The memories are here — waiting for your making,

Ruddy,

Camp Director, Sky High Ranch
