Volunteer-Led Day Camps

Volunteer-led day camps are offered at locations across the state, and camps are run by a team of adult volunteers and older Girl Scout Program Aides. Day Camps take place in public facilities across the state, such as schools, state parks, community centers, or local outdoor spaces. Some Day Camps use the CampInTouch registration system, and some use their own registration system, read more information on the camp descriptions in our session listings. Questions about a Day Camp using their volunteer-run registration? Contact the Camp Director as listed in the session description of the camp session.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some Day Camps use their own registration system?

Some camps may run their own registration system because it provides them more autonomy and flexibility when running their camps than doing so within Girl Scouts of Colorado registration. Camps using their own registration system have their own process for registration and form collection timelines, grants, discounts and Program Aide requirements. Day Camps that use their own registration system do not accept cookie volume or other GSCO registration discounts for their camp, and do not use GSCO camp grants. To register or for more information on Day Camps that do not use the CampInTouch registration system, contact the Day Camp Director or visit the camp website as listed in the session description in the camp chart.

How do I register for camps that do not use GSCO registration?

To register or for more information on Day Camps that do not use the CampInTouch registration system, contact the Day Camp Director or visit the camp website as listed in the session description for that camp.

How do I become a volunteer with Day Camp?

Adult volunteers need to be approved by Camp Directors. For approval, please contact the Camp Director for the session you are interested in volunteering with. Adult volunteers must be a Girl Scout member and have a completed background check. Responsibilities vary by camp but may include camper supervision, program facilitation, Program Aide support or camp administrative support. Discuss your role with the Camp Director.

How do I become a Program Aide at Day Camp?

Program Aides require prior approval from the Camp Director. For approval, please contact the Camp Director. You can find their contact information in the session description of that camp in the session listings.

Are Day Camp grants available?

If a camp is using GSCO registration, grants are available, and you can find information on that process here. Camps using a volunteer run registration system have their own process for grants, contact the Camp Director for more information.
